Clean lines, elongated crystals and varied colorus - Tourmaline is a gemstone of many shades and shapes. This makes it an ideal choice for fitting into an original piece of jewellery!
You can easily confuse tourmaline with other gemstones because it really has a lot of colors. It stands out with strong red and pink tones, it can be found in deep green, yellow and dark blue. Therefore, it is not surprising that it was confused with other types of gemstones until about the 18th century. The colourful mimicry of this gem perfectly captures its name, which comes from the Sinhalese language and means "mixed or many coloured stone". Tourmalines were already known to the ancient Egyptians. They believed that they travelled along the rainbow to the surface of the Earth and got their colours from it.
MEET TOURMALINES
Tourmalines are unique stones suitable for rings, bracelets, earrings and original pendants. Just choose!
PARAÍBA TOURMALINE
This rarest type of tourmaline comes from Brazil. It has a beautiful bright blue to turquoise colour due to the copper it contains.
Paraíbs are most often cut into a round diamond, pear or oval, which highlights their distinctive color. Today, all known deposits are mined, and this is reflected in their price.
Perhaps the most famous of all shades is pink tourmaline, which is the stone of the month of October.

MELON, TWO-TONE AND TRI-TONE TOURMALINE
Watermelon tourmaline colours have green edges and go from white to red. The most important thing about this tourmaline is the cut. Thanks to the perfect cut, its unusually juicy colours stand out.
Two-tone and three-tone tourmalines combine colours in a striking and unusual way. Stones can vary in their degree of transparency as well as their so-called zonality. Thanks to it, you can find different shades of colours arranged in zones in one crystal. The colours of this gemstone stand out perfectly in slender emeralds.

HOW TO CARE FOR TOURMALINE JEWELLERY?
Tourmalines are more difficult to maintain because they attract dust particles. Therefore, if you are not currently wearing tourmaline jewellery, be sure to hide it in a jewellery box. This gem is relatively fragile, so it is better to put the jewellery aside while doing housework. You can also care for tourmaline at home, just gently clean it with a soft toothbrush in warm, soapy water.
